This is very simplified but I hope you understand my point. Knowledge is key, understanding is key and with that, you will be able to build mechanisms and tools to deal with the situations. You will communicate boundaries. You will even understand the “other person”.

It won’t magically happen, you need life experience first and foremost. Put yourself in situations you’re safe, but a little uncomfortable. New environments, new social groups, travel alone a little bit, try things that are new to you all the time. Pay attention in your social environment and realize that everything people say says something about them, very little of it is about you.
